The injured children are students of Doon Public Senior Secondary School at Kararwala, near here, while the bus belonged to Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo.

The accident took place around eight when the alleged speeding bus hit the side of the van at a turn.

The injured children were rushed to Rampura Phul civil hospital from where three of the seriously injured -- Navsmeet Kaur, 11, Amreen Kaur, 11, and Ramandeep Singh, 14, -- were referred to Adesh University, Bhucho.

Rampura (city) SHO Manjeet Singh said all children were out of danger, including those referred to Adesh University. He said no formal complaint had been received, so no case had been registered, but the police would act in case a complaint was received.
