The district police have implemented the 'Sanjh' project through the Sanjh Kendras in Moga. Over the past year, 38,365 people availed services at these centres.
Some of the services include registrations and stay permissions for foreign visitors, getting the copies of FIRs and DDRs, passport-related verifications, character verifications, no objection certificates for vehicles and armed licences.
Moga SSP Manminder Singh said that the Punjab police had established a successful relationship with the general public under this project. He added that there was a Sanjh Kendra at the SSP office, besides others at the sub-divisional offices at Bagha Purana, Nihal Singh Wala, Dharamkot. More than a dozen out-reach centres had been established at the police stations.
He added that the centres were providing 25 services to the public under the Punjab Service Act, 2011, a time-bound manner under a single roof and single window system. He also advised the public to get their servants and tenants verified at these centres.
