As per information, eight youth were returning to their homes at Fazilka after finishing their work at a kinnow waxing plant in Abohar at about 12 last night in an auto.
The moment ill-fated vehicle reached at village Rampura Behram, 7km away from Abohar, a truck coming from the opposite direction smashed it and later dragged it to a long distance.
In result, five riders of the auto died on the spot while one succumbed to injuries on way and another was refereed to Faridkot medical college while one was locally hospitalized.
During accident one Maruti Ertiga also came to trap but duo of its riders sustained minor injuries.
