The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded that the government should reduce prices of diesel and petrol in view of the fall in the prices of crude oil in the international market.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded that the government should reduce prices of diesel and petrol in view of the fall in the prices of crude oil in the international market.
"In January 2014, prices of crude oil were $115 per barrel while petrol prices in Punjab were about Rs 75 per litre. But, now the price of crude oil has fallen to $45 per barrel, but prices of petrol and diesel have been marginally by about Rs 2 to Rs 2.50 per litre. Instead of cutting down the oil prices to relieve the common man, the union and state governments are rather imposing taxes on them," said Kultar Singh, AAP spokesman from Faridkot in a press release issued to the media.
