AAP launches cleanliness drive in Sangrur

Extending their support to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the district unit of the Aam Aadmi (AAP) on Sunday launched the drive in the town by cleaning the Shaheed Darshan Singh Pheruman park.

According to sources, the campaign was launched on directions from AAP Member of Parliament Sangrur Bhagwant Mann, who however, did not take part in the drive.

As a part of the drive, volunteers washed the statue of Shaheed Darshan Singh and also cleaned the entire park. Volunteers said they would continue the drive in future by cleaning all public places.
