Afzal Guru Hanging: Security beefed up in Valley, National Highway closed

Following execution of Afzal Guru,Curfew was imposed in all major towns of the Valley on early Saturday morning. According to reports National Highway was also closed. Heavy deployment of para military forces was seen in most parts of the Valley, mostly in sensitive areas like the old city in Srinagar as well as Sopore, which happens to be the hometown of Guru.Guru was facing death row since 2003 for his involvement in December 2001 Parliament attack.
