He acknowledged that he had met Anna Hazare, "as had most of the PPP leaders who wanted to remove Manpreet from the chief's chair".

Charanjit Brar, who is alleged to have facilitated Sodhi's meeting with Sukhbir, said he had never met Sodhi: "This is an internal fight of the PPP. As Sodhi had exposed Manpreet's link with the Congress, it was Manpreet's turn to allege Sodhi's links with the SAD."
