This new bus service has been started under Jawaharlal Bus Service Renewal Mission and two more such buses will be started in the district from Nadaun to Hoshiarpur and Nadaun to Nangal.

The minister said that the new buses would be equipped with modern facilities like CCTV cameras so that complete security was provided to the passengers. He added that the fare of these buses would be 30% less than the earlier ones.

Bali said that Hamirpur would have a new bus stand, which would be set up at a cost of Rs 10 crore. “A sum of Rs 6 crore has already been released for this purpose and new tenders will soon be floated,” he said, adding that the old bus stand would be converted into the local bus stand.
