SK Rohila, regional bank manager, and Bhagat Goyal, senior bank manager, of Central Bank of India branch in PUDA Complex, are admitted to the civil hospital for treatment.
According to information available, Goyal and Rohila along with chief manager SS Dahiya and others visited the site to check a property mortgaged against loan.
Speaking to mediapersons, an injured Goyal said that had gone to the site against which a firm, Satya Metals, had taken loan and it had failed to pay back the money.
He said the bank had already declared Satya Metals a defaulter. The bank had won case in the debt recovery tribunal which gave the bank rights to sell the mortgaged property, he claimed.
When they arrived at the site, about 10 unidentified persons with sharp-edged weapons attacked them, he added.
The Sadar police have reached the hospital to record statements of the bank officials.
