Bathinda to give strong reply to Manpreet, says Harsimrat
Hitting back at People's Party of Punjab president Manpreet Singh Badal, who is going to be her rival in the Lok Sabha contest at Bathinda, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal said the people of her constituency would answer his misconceptions.
Harsimrat, who was in Amritsar to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple, said the Congress, with which Manpreet had got into alliance, was in a losing position all over the country. "The party that governed India for long today struggles to reach three digits. This is because people are fed up with the policies of the Congress-led UPA (United Progressive Alliance) regime."
Asked to react to the Manpreet statement that Bathinda would vote to defeat Harsimrat, the wife of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said: "I think the people of Bathinda will give a strong reply to Manpreet. They only will tell him about my work in my constituency."
