The deceased have been identified as Ravinder Singh, Karan Singh and Narinder Singh, all aged between 15 and 17. They were residents of the neighbouring Baath village.

Naib tehsildar Jasveer Singh said the NDRF team started using nets on Tuesday, and around 1.30pm, one of the nets got stuck along the right edge of the river.
A JCB machine was pressed into service to clear the area, and after a thorough search of half an hour Ravinder’s body was recovered. Bodies of Karan and Narinder were also found just 100 metres from there
