Burglars loot valuables worth several lakh in Phagwara

The burglars entered the house of Sanjeev Sood after breaking the window grills and decamped with stolen goods Tuesday night.

In another incident in the city, one house of an NRI was also reportedly burgled in Mansa Devi Nagar last night. The exact loss could not be estimated but the entire house was found ransacked, police said.

Unannounced power cuts were said to be the cause of burglaries as the miscreants took advantage of the dark. Police registered a case against the burglars and further invesigations were on.
