City bus service likely extend to nearby towns

A pre-bid meeting was organised to hold a discussion about the tenders floated for selection of operator under the Net Cost Contract (NCC) model for Ludhiana City Bus Service Limited, on Tuesday.

The meeting was aimed to discuss the NCC mode for City Bus Service. The last date for submission of proposals for City Bus Service is October 7.

Additional commissioner Neeru Katyal Gupta said, "We discussed if we could extend the city bus service to nearby towns like Samrala and few others. We have identified a couple of areas where these buses will ply as well."

Assistant commissioner Satwant Singh and Ludhiana City Bus Service Limited manager Baljeet Singh also attended the meeting.
