CM flags off '102' ambulance

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda flagged off an ambulance equipped with life-saving instruments and medicines and handed over keys of to the authorities of LNJP Hospital at Puroshotampura Bagh during the closing ceremony of Kurukshetra Utsav Gita Jayanti Samaroh here late on Friday evening.

The deputy commissioner-cum-president, district Red Cross Society, Nikhil Gajraj, who made extra-ordinary efforts for getting the ambulance van, said the facility would serve the people round-the-clock. It would provide services in accident and delivery cases besides helping children below 5 years in case of emergency.

Meanwhile, civil surgeon Dr Shiv Kumar stated that the services of the van can be availed by dialing 102. With this van, the fleet of ambulances would go up to 16, he added.
