Coach accused of raping girl at meet

A minor girl was allegedly raped during a judo-karate competition at a village in the district. The last-week incident was reported to the police by the victim’s father on Wednesday.
The complainant, who hails from Karnal district, alleged that his daughter, 15, had gone to participate in the martial-arts competition with eight other girls and a male and a female coach had accompanied them. He has stated that on December 19, the coach raped the girl and threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed this to anyone.
He alleges that the woman coach helped the rapist.
