Cong has another rebel in Sohana MLA Dharambir
The Congress may lose another leader soon. Disgruntled MLA of the party from Sohana, Dharambir Singh is talking the language of revolt has said that he would declare his 'future plan' at his Bhiwani rally on March 9.
There is a difference of opinions between the Congress brass and Dharambir, as the latter is keen to contest Lok Sabha elections from Bhiwani and if that does not materialises, he wants to change his assembly constituency from Sohana to Tosham.
Dharambir had remained an MLA from Tosham in 1987 and 2000 and from Badhra assembly constituency in 2005, which is under Bhiwani parliamentary constituency.
Adopting a defiant posture against Congress, he told HT on phone that he would contest Lok Sabha elections from Bhiwani or assembly elections from Tosham and not from Sohana again.
Currently, Shruti Chaudhry is MP from Bhiwani, while her mother and Haryana minister Kiran Chaudhry is MLA from Tosham.
On being asked why he wanted to change his constituency, Charambir said he was born, brought up and started his political career in Bhiwani. He claimed that he was sent to Sohana assembly constituency on deputation, which was over.
He said that he may go to any extent if his demand was not met. "Only time will tell, who would contest on which party symbol," he said
