Libra, son of late MLA Kirpal Singh Libra, had joined the Congress when Captain Amarinder Singh was the Punjab chief minister.

The SAD president and Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal was here canvassing for SAD-BJP candidate Kulwant Singh.

While addressing the rally, Badal slammed the policies of the Congress, while hailing it responsible for high inflation and farmer’s suicide in the state.

He assured the voters that if the National Democratic party (NDA) formed the government, the SAD government would be able to get industrial packages, which was denied by the Congress-led government.
