Local member of Parliament Pawan Kumar Bansal on Sunday said role of Congress leaders was important for the development of the nation.
He was speaking at the Republic Day function organised at Congress Bhawan, Sector 35, on Sunday.
Addressing the Congress workers, he extended his wishes on the occasion and said they must work for the betterment of the country. Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee (CTCC) president BB Bahl unfurled the National Flag. In his address, Bahl exhorted the party workers to take developmental work carried out by the UPA government to the people.
