Most of the long-route trains were delayed by about 10 hours, due to which passengers were left stranded and shivering in cold on the platforms.
Sachkhand Express was reported running late by 22 hours, Saryu Yamuna Express, also known as Shaheed Express, was delayed by 12 hours, Amarpali Express was delayed by seven hours and Malwa Express was delayed by four hours.
The platforms of the railway station seemed packed to its capacity with passengers waiting out in the cold for their trains.
