A receptionist working in Satnam Hospital on Phagwara road had filed a complaint that Sukhnandan Singh had tried to outrage her modesty.

The complainant alleged that the said doctor often harassed her and on September 9, he called her to the operation theatre and molested her.

The doctor had warned her against reporting the matter to anyone, the complainant added.

Acting on the complaint, Model Town police registered a case under Section 354a (sexual harassment) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. The doctor is absconding.

He is already facing charges under Section 304a (causing death by negligence) as last year a boy had died during operation at his hospital.
