In a complaint to additional deputy commissioner Amarjeet Pal, Kabal said that he had applied for renewal of licence of his .12 gun on December 12, 2012 and the application reached Balachaur police station for inquiry.
He said that a day before Lohri, he was contacted by a police official of Balachaur police station and when he reached the police station, a cop asked him to pay Rs 1500 as bribe, which he refused. The cops sent a report mentioning that Kabal was not physically fit and his age was not suitable to renew his gun licence.
ADC Amarjeet Pal said that the complaint would be forwarded to the SSP for inquiry.
