What is your purpose of being with the people?

I have been seeking votes for my husband during the election campaign and it’s now my duty to listen to their grievances. I am just helping Manpreet who is busy drafting the state budget to be presented next month.

How will you go about it? Will you personally ask officials to get the work done?

I have never called up any official and will never do so. I am just a bridge between the people and Manpreet’s team members, who are here with me. It’s just that people feel comfortable with me, especially the women.

Any plan to enter active politics and contest elections?

There is no such plan so far. The 20-plus years have been full of stress ever since my husband won the Gidderbaha bypolls in 1995. I just want to help my husband.
