Five booked for attempt to murder

Police have booked five people for an alleged attempt-to-murder attack on a college student when he objected to their hooliganism in college. A case under Section 307 of the IPC has been registered against Manpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Jasdeep Singh, Amandeep Singh and Jeet Singh for allegedly attacking Karanvir Singh at an educational institution in Talwandi Sabo.

Investigating officer ASI Gurmail Singh said the accused were outsiders and were allegedly creating nuisance in the institution. When the complainant objected to the same, they attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. Police are still searching for the accused.
