Five-year-old raped in Kamboh; 1 held
The Amritsar rural police have arrested Sonu of village Pandori Waraich on charge of rape of a minor girl in Kamboh village. A case was registered against the accused under Sections 376 and 511 of the IPC at Kamboh police station on the complaint of villager Pargat Singh, who is father of the minor.

The Amritsar rural police have arrested Sonu of village Pandori Waraich on charge of rape of a minor girl in Kamboh village. A case was registered against the accused under Sections 376 and 511 of the IPC at Kamboh police station on the complaint of villager Pargat Singh, who is father of the minor.
The complainant said that his wife had sent their daughter to a nearby shop to buy some eatables around 5:30pm on June 1. When the child did not return for quite a while, his wife went in search of her and allegedly saw the accused committing the crime.
SI Yadvinder Singh, SHO of Kamboh police station, said that the medical examination of the child has also been conducted.
