Four arrested for killing youth in Shahkot

Shahkot police have arrested four persons on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, causing disappearance of evidence and committing crime with common intention.

Station house officer (SHO) Manjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurbinder Singh Binda a resident of Kang Khurd village, Mandeep Singh Banti,Gurdit Singh Gita and Kulbir Singh residents of Kotha village.

Kulwinder Singh, a resident of Kotha village informed the police that the accused killed his son Gurpreet Singh Gora on December 31 by intoxicating him.

Singh also added that his son had left with the accused in his sport utility vehicle. His body was found in the same vehicle near Punia village the next day.

SHO said that a case had been registered under sections 304, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
