Four booked for cheating man of Rs 16 lakh

The police have booked four persons for allegedly cheating a man of Rs 16 lakh on the pretext of investment in a chit fund company. On a complaint by Balwinder Singh, a resident of Kotfatta, teh police have booked Bhupinder Gupta, his wife Renu Gupta, his daughter Kajal and Niranjan Singh, all residents of Tapa, under sections 420 and 120 of IPC .

The complaiant alleged that the accused made him to invest Rs 16 lakh in Live Indian trading company assuring good returns, but didn't keep their promise. The police were further inquiring into the matter.
