Four members of Davinder Bambiha gang arrested in Moga

The accused have been identified as Jaspreet Singh, Ajay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and Amritpal Singh. While Jaspreet and Ajay are from Faridkot are facing various cases including murder, Rakesh and Amritpal are from Bathinda.

Moga police on Friday arrested four members belonging to slain gangster Davinder Bambiha’s group. Police also recovered three pistols, 16 live cartridges and 1,300 gram contraband.

The accused have been identified as Jaspreet Singh, Ajay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and Amritpal Singh. While Jaspreet and Ajay are from Faridkot are facing various cases including murder, Rakesh and Amritpal are from Bathinda.

The operation was led by Baghapurana station house officer Jangjit Singh and Moga Crime Investigation Agency inspector Kikkar Singh Bhullar. Police laid a trap at Budh Singh Waala after a receiving a tip-off that the accused were travelling on bikes.

Moga superintendent of police Wazir Singh Khaira said the gang members had been operating under Lakhwinder Singh and Aman Jaitu of the Davinder Bambiha gang. Khaira further said they had been planning three murders.

A case has been registered under the relevant sections of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Baghapurana police station, Moga.
