Govt puts district aministration on alert in wake of heavy rains

In wake of the heavy rain, Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh has directed all deputy commissioners, district police and home guards to remain vigilant.

In wake of the heavy rain, Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh has directed all deputy commissioners, district police and home guards to remain vigilant. Terming the flash flood in Dharampur in Mandi district unfortunate, the CM directed the Mandi administration to take adequate measures to rescue the affected people and compensate them as per the relief manual.

He also directed the district administration to sound alarm to warn people against venturing along river beds and flooded water bodies.
