A head constable was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Patti in Tarn Taran district on Sunday.

A head constable was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Patti in Tarn Taran district on Sunday.
The body of the head constable, identified as Satnam Singh, was found outside the police quarters, right next to the Patti police station. The police found Satnam's damaged mobile phone lying beside his body. Satnam was posted as munshi at the Sirhali police station.
The Tarn Taran police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC.
While some family members of the deceased alleged that there could be a conspiracy behind his death, the police are still investigating the circumstances leading to his death.
The police said there was no injury mark on the body, which had been sent for post-mortem examination.
