Heavy rain in the wee hours on Sunday has thrown life out of gear in Gurdaspur, with water entering houses in low-lying areas. Areas such as Behrampur Road, Hardochhanni, Sangalpura Road, Mehar Chand Road, Old Bazar, Amam Bara Chowk, Berian Mohalla, Islamabad Mohalla, Gopal Nagar Mohalla and some others are flooded with rainwater.

Most of the roads in the town having potholes and craters at several places are filled with rainwater, making these dangerous for commuters.

Though it was Sunday, rain kept most of the people confined to their houses. However, the rainfall brought temperature down in the city.
