The sessions judge had heard the arguments on Tuesday morning, where counsel of the accused, Sukhdip Singh Brar, pleaded before the court that Farid had been falsely implicated in the matter. Brar had also said, “I have requested the court to summon for the post-mortem report of the deceased. I understand that there was one injury to the head which led to his death.”

The sessions judge had issued notice to UT to file a reply and present all records before the court in the afternoon. However, in the afternoon, the matter was adjourned for hearing on Wednesday.

Farid had filed the bail application saying that the “accident” may have been caused by his co-accused Balraj Singh and that he had nothing to do with it.
