Meenu said Mandeep, a resident of Jawahar Nagar Camp who worked as labourer but was unemployed at present, had taken a loan of Rs 4 lakh from a financer but was unable to return it due to financial crunch. In the video, Mandeep said his wife and in-laws taunted him over his financial condition and humiliated him, forcing him to kill himself.

Inspector Jatinder Singh, station house officer of Division-5 police, said Mandeep was taken to a hospital where he died on Tuesday.

Meenu came to know of the video on Tuesday evening following which she lodged a complaint, police further said. The accused are absconding.
