Husband, wife booked for fraud
The Nakodar Sadar police booked husband wife for cheating , fraud and criminal conspiracy. SHO DS Gill said that the accused have been identified as Gurdev Singh, resident of Hairan village and his wife Jasbir Kaur.

The Nakodar Sadar police booked husband wife for cheating , fraud and criminal conspiracy. SHO DS Gill said that the accused have been identified as Gurdev Singh, resident of Hairan village and his wife Jasbir Kaur.
Balkar Singh, a resident of Ladharr village complained to Jalandhar (rural) police that he purchased a house situated at Hairan village from Gurmej kaur which was in possession of the accused. The accused got electricity meter transferred on their name by submitting false declaration before POWERCOM official at Mallian Kalan office and thus cheated Gurmej Kaur and him.
According to SHO, a case under sections 420 (cheating) 465, 468, 471 (fraud) and section 120-B of IPC has been registered against the accused.
