Kadian appointed pro-tem speaker

The Haryana governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on Wednesday appointed Congress MLA from Beri Dr Raghuvir Kadian to be the pro-term speaker of the Vidhan Sabha.

The Haryana governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on Wednesday appointed Congress MLA from Beri Dr Raghuvir Kadian to be the pro-term speaker of the Vidhan Sabha.

According to the Vidhan Sabha secretariat, Kadian would administer the oath to all 90 MLAs of the 13th House and also hold the election for the speaker on November 3 when the assembly meets.

According to information, Kadian, a 5-time MLA, is the senior-most legislator in the House.
