Kapurthala: 24-yr old woman commits suicide
A 24-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home in Kala Sanghya in Kapurthala district on Friday morning.

A 24-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home in Kala Sanghya in Kapurthala district on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Gurpreet Kaur, a resident of Kala Sanghya. She was unmarried and preliminary investigations revealed that she was depressed.
"Deceased's foster father Makhan Singh said that Gurpreet's was adopted by him when she was three months old after her parents died," police said.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem and a case has been registered under section 174 of CRPC Act.
