Ludhiana gangrape: Security beefed up to nab accused

A day after a 21-year-old hotel employee alleged gangrape, the police on Monday beefed up security in the city. The police have been manning checkpoints at various points in the city and scanning vehicles. Even after 36 hours of the crime, the police is still clueless. The police officials, however, said they will prepare sketches of the accused.

A 21-year-old girl was raped in Maruti 800 car on intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. They later dumped the victim in Rajguru Nagar after committing the crime. The Sadar Police on Sunday registered a case in this context.
