State Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa said, “Ludhiana is the economic capital of Punjab. If such type of incidents can happen here, you can very well imagine what will be the state of affairs in other parts of the state.”

He accused the SAD-BJP regime of having totally failed in the administration of the state.

Meanwhile, chief minister Parkash Singh Badal said in Amritsar that an inquiry had been ordered into the Ludhiana incident. Badal said he had asked officers to ascertain the causes and circumstances which led to the deaths and submit the inquiry report at the earliest. PTI
