Maluka suspends DEO office clerk

Punjab education minister Sikander Singh Maluka on Thursday recommended the suspension of Pawanjit Singh, a clerk in office of district education officer at Nawanshahr, after receiving 14 affidavits levelling serious allegations of corruption against him.

Punjab education minister Sikander Singh Maluka on Thursday recommended the suspension of Pawanjit Singh, a clerk in office of district education officer at Nawanshahr, after receiving 14 affidavits levelling serious allegations of corruption against him.

Directing director administration in the office of DPI, secondary, to submit a complete report within 15 days in this matter, the minister made the headquarters of suspended employee in the office of circle education officer, Jalandhar.

Maluka said there was zero tolerance for corruption in the education department and reiterated his commitment to ensure total transparency at every level in the department. He exhorted the employees as well as the common people to bring in his notice any incident of corruption so that erring officials can be punished.
