Man killed in road mishap

A 19-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding bus on the Moga-Jalandhar national highway in Dharamkot, 17 km from district headquarter, on Sunday evening.

The victim has been identified as Viahal Singh of Ijjatwala village. His friend Sukhwinder Singh was riding pillion. "Vishal Singh died on the spot, while Sukhwinder Singh has admitted to the civil hospital and is reportedly out of danger," said ASI Malkeet Singh.

The body has been handed over to the family members and a case has been registered against an unknown bus driver at the Dharamkot police station.
