Man raped 12 years old, arrested
A 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping the 12-year-old student of his wife at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar on Pakhowal Road on Wednesday.

The accused has been identified as Sukhlal Singh, a resident of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Pakhowal road.
In her complaint, the victim's mother, a resident of Dhandhran, alleged that her daughter used to take stitching classes from Sukhlal's wife.
On Wednesday, when her daughter went for her stitching classes, the teacher was not there. In her absence, her husband raped her daughter and fled the spot. Later, the girl returned to her house and narrated the matter to her mother, who approached the Salem Tabri police.
Inspector Amrinder Singh, station house officer (SHO), Salem Tabri police station, said the police arrested the accused immediately after lodging an FIR.
