Former Gurgaon zila parishad chairman Rao Abhay Yadav, who presided over the mahapanchayat, said: "We don't have faith in the SIT and demand a CBI inquiry into the incident." The mahapanchayata came out strongly against the act of violence by workers. "Those involved in the violence must be brought to book and sacked," he said.

As part of a six point agenda passed in the meeting, it was decided to form a committee of the villages to look into the incident.
