8-yr-old girl raped, unidentified booked

A labourer lodged a complaint at Dugri police station alleging that someone raped his eight-year-old daughter, who was alone at home, after barging into their house. Following the statement of the labourer, the police registered a case of rape against unidentified accused and sent the victim to civil hospital for medical examination.

After administrating first aid, the doctors at civil hospital referred the girl to some private hospital.

In his complain t, the labourer told the police that he and his wife leave home in the morning for work. On Thursday, his wife noticed swelling in the private parts of their daughter. He suspected that in their absence someone barged into their house and raped their daughter.

Sub-inspector Gurveer Singh, station house officer of the Dugri police station, said the police were waiting for the vaginal swab report of the victim following which it would take appropriate action.

Duo drugs, rapes woman

A 25-year-old woman of Daba Colony registered a complaint against two brothers, who are friends of her husband, for raping her after drugging her. The woman also alleged that the accused have made lewd videos of her.

The Shimlapuri police have registered a complaint against Varinder Singh and Preet of Kabir Nagar. Varinder is a transporter.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that she got married around six years ago and has two children. Her husband is settled in London. At present, she is living with her parents at her maternal house.

The woman alleged that the accused are friends of her husband. She alleged that the accused had come to her house and drugged her. When she lost consciousness, the accused raped her and also made lewd videos.

She alleged that the accused have been blackmailing her and have raped her several times after that.
Inspector Raj Kumar, station house officer of the Shimlapuri police station, said a case under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused.

The police are investigating in the matter and are yet to arrest the accused.

Rupnagar woman raped on job pretext promise

After meeting on social networking site Facebook, a man promised a Rupnagar woman of arranging a suitable job for her in Ludhiana and raped her at a flat in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar. The 22-year-old victim also alleged that the accused had drugged her and also made lewd videos.

The Sarabha Nagar police have registered a case against accused Karan Singh alias Honey of Housing Board Colony and have initiated investigation in the matter.

In her complaint, the victim said she worked with a company dealing in interior designing. She alleged that she came in contact with the accused in March through Facebook. The accused lured her that he could help her find a good job and called her to Ludhiana.

She alleged that in May, she came to Ludhiana to meet the accused, who took her to his house and offered her a cold drink laced with sedatives. She alleged after she lost consciousness, the accused raped her and also made lewd videos.

Later, the accused started blackmailing her that if she did not keep physical relations with him he would upload the video on social networking site.

She had narrated the entire incident to her parents following which they got registered case.

Assistant sub-inspector Harjinder Kaur from the Sarabha Nagar police station said they have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
