Mohan Singh fair concludes with award ceremony

The 36th Professor Mohan Singh Memorial International mela ended on its third day on Monday with the award ceremony. All singers and artist who participated in the mela were honoured at the function.

The fair is organised to celebrate birthday of professor Mohan Singh in Punjabi Bhawan and is an initiative of Jagdev Singh Jassowal, chairman of the foundation.

As many as 150 folk dancers from North East zone attended the fair to rejuvenate the memories of Singh.
Seminars and many activities were held to aware the people about the Punjabi culture and its importance. Poetry competition was also organised to memorise Singh.

Family members of General secretary of the foundation Kulwant Singh Lehri, who died last month, were also honored in the function.

Pargat Singh Grewal, president of the foundation, said "The main motive of organising this fair is to remember the renowned poet and also to aware the youth about their culture."
