Motorcyclists rammed into stationary truck, killed
Two motorcycle-borne youths were killed on Tuesday night when their bike rammed into a stationary truck near Hamira on Amritsar-Jalandhar road.

Two motorcycle-borne youths were killed on Tuesday night when their bike rammed into a stationary truck near Hamira on Amritsar-Jalandhar road.
Police said that Gurpreet Singh (26), a resident of Tibba village and Lakhwinder Singh (30) were on their way to Jalandhar when the incident took place around 11.30pm.
SHO Didar Singh said: "Gurpreet Singh was killed on the spot while Lakhwinder was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead."
Police have impounded the truck as the owner was not present on the spot.
He added that action against the truck driver would be taken.
