BJP candidate from Gurdaspur Vinod Khanna on Tuesday said his first priority after becoming MP will be to reduce unemployment and bring industry to the area.
“Bringing in industries and getting necessary permission in this regard from the central government will be my prime goal. This will help reduce unemployment”, he said on his ‘Vijay rally’ campaign trail on Tuesday.
Khanna said that people were tired with Congress’ misgovernance and wanted a good government which only (BJP’s PM nominee) Narendra Modi can provide.
“What sitting MP Partap Singh Bajwa (Cong) could not do in 5 years, I will do the same in 12 months”, said Khanna who campaigned in various villages of Ftehgrah Churran.
Meanwhile, Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa called upon his BJP rival Vinod Khanna to explain his stand on the issue of Sikh farmers settled in Kutch area of Gujarat, who were facing the threat of evictiont.
Bajwa, who toured toured Hardo Jhande, Dhadiala Natt, Saar Churand and Kala Afgana villages of Fatehgarh Churian assembly segment, said Gujarat chief minister and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has failed to come to the rescue of these beleaguered farmers who turned these wastelands into green lands through hard labour during the last about 50 years.
