Addressing the protest rally Kulwant Kaur and Dharamjit Kaur said that Union government has not fulfilled its promise of talks with them made in December.

The workers have been demanding that aanganwari workers should be given class three status along with regularization of the integrated child development scheme, provision of pension and gratuity, and provision of infrastructure at aanganwari centres.

The workers threatened to intensify the stir if the demands are not fulfilled and announced a march towards Punjab Vidhan Sabha on March 9.
