A 19-year-old newly wed woman committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan in a Partap Nagar colony here on Wednesday.

A 19-year-old newly wed woman committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan in a Partap Nagar colony here on Wednesday.
Investigating officer, ASI Karam Singh at Canbal colony police station said that the woman was found hanging with the fan in the afternoon.
He said that as per preliminary inquiry. it seems that the woman took the extreme step as she was under stress.
The victim was married to Avneesh Kumar, who runs a mobile phones shop here, in September last year.
The ASI said that the police would be handing over the body to her parents on Thursday after conducting post mortem. He said that a preliminary inquiry has revealed no foul play so far.
