Municipal Karamchari Sanyukat Committee continued their protest for the fourth day on Tuesday with a large number of employees agitating against not receiving salary for the past three months.

As part of the protest, the employees first blocked the Chaura Bazaar Road and later blocked the main entrance gate of Zone-A office of the municipal corporation (MC).

Committee president Gurjeet Singh Jagpal said, "Despite many complaints to the authorities, no one is concerned about the problems of the employees as they are not receiving their salary for the last three months."

"These employees are living hand to mouth in absence of salaries. Authorities should feel the agony of these employees. Mayor Harcharan Singh Gholwaria and MC commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agarwal have not given any satisfactory answer," Singh added.
