The minister said the beneficiaries were divided into five categories - above poverty line (APL), other priority households (OPH), state below poverty line (SBPL), central below poverty line (CBPL) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY).
A total of 83 lakh ration cards would be made in these categories.
APL ration cards would be green and 42 lakh such cards would be made. Similarly, 24 lakh OPH ration cards would be made in khaki colour. The card for SBPL (5.5 lakh beneficiaries) and CBPL (7.6 lakh) would be yellow in colour.
Likewise, four lakh AAY ration cards would be made in pink colour. The beneficiaries in these categories get wheat, sugar, kerosene and pulses.
Kamboj said the beneficiaries of SBPL, CBPL and OPH would be given five kg and AAY beneficiaries would be given 35 kg of wheat at the rate of `2 per kg per month. Similarly, BPL and AAY beneficiaries would get 2 kg sugar at the rate of `13.50 per kg, 7 litres kerosene at the rate of `13.63 to `14.58 per litre and 2.5 kg pulses at the rate of `20 per kg per month.
