Members alleged that the DRM had assured action, but nothing has been done so far except registering an FIR by railway protection force (RPF) of the railway station.

The protest started after a fight between members of both unions, which left four NRMU members injured.

Out of them, Avtar Singh received severe brain injuries.

NRMU, general secretary, Comrade Paramjit Singh said: “Nothing has been done by the railway authorities so far besides providing meager medical help to the injured members. They should put the culprits behind the bars for beating NRMU members.”

Divisional railway manager (DRM) NC Goyal, however, said, “The RPF officials are investigating. After getting the final report strict action will be taken against the culprits.”
